According to a loading screen tip found here, Androxus was cursed by an unknown Abyssal Entity.
The Abyssal monsters from Caspian's teaser trailer are referred to as "cultists" in one trailer concept. Additionally, while hard to see in the trailer, these entities have a rather human-like appearance.^[2] However, whether or not these creatures are actually human or have any relation to the ancient Abyssal Cultists of Marauder's Port^[3]^[4] remains unclear.
