Frog Isle is one of the maps in Paladins and was originally released in the Paladins CB30 update. It later received a visual rework in the 3.2 update.
Like every Siege Map, Frog Isle also has certain callouts.

Description[ | ]

This map has mirrored layouts and is designed for 2 teams of 5 players. There is a Capture Point in the middle. The bases are located at opposite ends of the map.

The only Game Mode that is currently playable in this map is Siege.

Lore[ | ]

Trials of the Realm Bio:
"It is hard not to revel under the joyful statues of Frog Isle. Those that visit the island are blessed with renewed purpose, as if any disappointment of what was lost is replaced with pride for what can be once again."[1]

Other Information:
It was shown in Trials of the Realm[1], Frog Isle is also part of a larger area known as the 'Temple Isles', alongside Jaguar Falls and Serpent Beach, as well as Primal Court, as can be seen in both maps of the Realm.

Hazard(s)[ | ]

Deadly Waters[ | ]

The waters that surround this map are deadly to the touch and have the same kill mechanics as those of a cliff ledge, making champions with knockback abilities ideal for easy eliminations. Champions that lack flight/teleportation abilities are susceptible to being launched off the map without having any sort of means for recovery...

In the Sands of Myth update, Frog Isle received a visual rework.

When it comes to the Frog Isle rework, the primary goal was to push the environment quality up to the high bar we’ve established for the more recent maps. The secondary goal was to add a lot of frogs; we wanted to make sure the map finally lived up to its name. We wanted clear contrast between bricks and trims, between walls and floors etc. This was to combat some of the washed out, samey feel of the original map. We also desperately wanted to replace the low poly rocks used throughout the tropical art set with something a little more stylized. Frog Isle was one of our earliest maps and I’m happy to have had the opportunity to finally give it a makeover. -Alex M, Environment Artist

Trivia[ | ]

  • This map was initially part of a larger one called Temple Isle. It was divided into Frog Isle, Jaguar Falls, and Serpent Beach.
  • The older version of Frog Isle is visible in the distance of the old version of Jaguar Falls, as shown here.
    • This also holds true for the reworked version of Jaguar Falls map, as can be seen here. Oddly, Frog Isle retains its old appearance.
    • The older version is also visible on Serpent Beach, as can be seen here.
  • Both Serpent Beach and the old version of Jaguar Falls were somewhat visible on the older version of this map, as can be seen here.
  • During the Open Beta 64 update, many maps had various props added to their spawn rooms to build up hype for the introduction of lore. For Frog Isle, this included Resistance posters and banners, a poster of an armored individual shattering chains binding them with text that reads "Break Free", as well as various supplies. This can be seen in-game here.
