Lore[]
What is the value of eternal life? At what point does the cost become too great?
Lillith, through ill-fortune and fear, has found herself on the path of this defiled discovery. Once a staunch defender of the Magistrate, Lillith was a confidant and friend of Lian; even becoming a border-lord in the far-off lands over which Lian holds dominion. Yet, this proud life would not last forever.
Gravely wounded in a border incursion by Resistance fighters, Lillith painstakingly crawled away from the battlefield, cursing those who brought her to death’s door. What Lillith didn’t know – what she couldn’t have imagined, was that the Abyss would reach out to her and offer her a gift…an offer that was too powerful to refuse.
Now, Lilith reigns from her dark corners of the Realm. Aided by her unnaturally long life and keen mind, Lillith dashes from shadow to shadow with her deadly Heart of Crimson: a sinister weapon that swells with unnatural power whenever it tastes the blood of her enemies. Lillith works towards a Realm blessed by the bounteous gifts once bestowed on her… ones that nobody will be allowed to deny.
Summary[]
Through the manipulation of blood magic, Lillith has several ways to both damage her foes and heal herself and her allies. Her Blood Hex allows her to heal herself to either damage an enemy or heal an ally, while her Swarm will enable her to channel a stream of bats that heals allies and damages enemies creating a dangerous zone. Finally, Lillith’s Ultimate invokes the Blood Moon, giving her allies life rip and greatly enhancing her physical abilities for a time, on top of increasing Lillith’s survivability with constant health regen. All of these should combine to create a support that is well built to win a war of attrition, making her a terrifying foe.

Trivia[]
- As mentioned here, Lillith is considered a vampire, though she doesn't appear to be a true vampire based on her Abyssal origins.
- Despite this, according to herself, she doesn't appear in mirrors, much like regular vampires. (▶️)
- Lillith's weapon was gifted to her by the Abyss.[2]
- Her weapon is where she draws a lot of her power from, notably through blood and energy from enemies she kills and wounds, which ends up inside her weapon.[3]
- While Lillith's bio is unclear on the matter, this article further implies she's no longer loyal to the Magistrate, as well as Lian and House Aico by extension, following her resurrection.
- The red bats Lillith creates when using Swarm are known as "Blood Bats".[4]
- Based on a dev statement revealing Viktor to be around 5'9 or 175cm tall, and comparing it to model sizes in-game and out of game, it was discovered that Lillith would be around 6' or 182cm tall.
- Lillith appears in the Queen of the Night avatar.
- She also appears in The Heartless Death Card.
- Corvus, Khan, and Lian all appear in Lillith's teaser trailer.
- Lillith's teasers can be seen here.
- (Teaser 1) "Some know of a woman in the Realm who can harness the power of blood magic, which bears a terrible price to those who use it."
- (Teaser 2) "She is rumored to know the secret to gaining everlasting life and the deadly bargain required to obtain it."
- (Teaser 3) "Life and death aren't so different, for what is alive can die in a breath, and what is dead may come back to life; all it requires is the right amount of heart."
- (Teaser 4) "Her deals come with a high price, but the payment for breaking her contract will always be higher."
- (Teaser 5) "But when a blade of the Magistrate is gravely wounded, its leaders have no choice but to call upon Lillith, the Heartless for aid."
- Lillith had several hugely different early concepts, with her even being initially considered to be a shirtless male. Other notable early designs include an Egyptian themed style.[5]
- One of the reasons these early designs went unused was due to them leaning into too much of a "modern aesthetic", which didn't end up fitting, as well as due to the developers wanting a more traditional "fit".
- Lillith also originally wielded a gun prior to her weapon being swapped for her current cube, though this change only came later on, as can be seen in near final concepts.[6]
- Lillith's name was chosen due to it being commonly associated with "goth horror", as well as from a desire to design a classical feeling vampire by Paladins' standards.[8]
- Lillith's name also has connections to a figure of the same name from Mesopotamian and Judaic mythology that has connections to early views of vampires and sorcery. Though it's unknown if this connection was coincidental.
Wicked Hex
- A hex is a type of curse or spell, and wicked, well, you know, that's evil, so this skin is an evil curse.
Sun Born
- This skin appears in the cards Blood Canon, Charmed, and Sheer Ascent, making it one of the few skins to appear in card art.
- This skin also has the distinction of appearing in three different cards, as opposed to nearly every other card art skin, which all only appear in one each, while Seal Guardian Vora appears in two.
- This skin appears in the cards Blood Canon, Charmed, and Sheer Ascent, making it one of the few skins to appear in card art.
- This is currently one of the only completely canon skins. It shows how Lillith appeared prior to becoming an Abyssal vampire.[9]
