Lore[]

This is Omen's official bio currently found in his champion page in-game.

Omen was in search of greater power — the help his family deserved — when he climbed a flaming mountain looking for wisdom like that of Jenos. Instead of finding answers like that of Ascension Peak, he was met with a void of silence from the night sky. Lost in rage, he threw himself into the lava boiling below him. Before he perished, Nyx answered the prayers cosmic gods ignored. She granted him the power to do what he felt the gods should.

Now, as the Realm descends into chaos once more, Omen ascends from the Abyss to serve his Queen, joining the battle to see to the fall of Jenos and his home. Soon, they will all feel the wrath of a God.

Summary[]

Omen is a damage champion equipped with a hybrid weapon that allows him to burst down enemies in close proximity with its initial shotgun-like mode, as well as allow him to contest medium to long range duels with its later, more precise and slow fire-rate mode. He can deter flanks by lifting enemies and throwing them back, and can quickly reposition with his dash. His alt-fire and ultimate both serve as terrain zoning tools, with his ultimate being able to burst down enemies almost instantly due to its high damage output.

A hybrid shotgun with two firing modes. Has a Range of 300 units and is effective up to 100 units. Applies Ominous Brand.

Tap: Penumbra Mode: Deals 450 damage every 0.3s in a wide spread.

Hold: Antumbra Mode. Deals 450 damage every 0.48s in a narrow spread. Fire rate and spread scale down over the first 3 shots, which resets after 1s of not firing.

Branded enemies receive additional effects from Deadly Domain and Gravity Vice for 3s.
  • This ability deals Direct Damage.
  • It can do headshots - dealing 675 damage.
  • Has a reload time of ~1.4s and can be animation canceled after ~0.4s.
  • Has a maximum range of 300 units.
  • Has damage falloff with a maximum reduction of 70%.
  • Gains 3% ultimate charge per attack. Gains 4% on headshots.
  • <=50% of pellets hit deals 50% damage.
  • >50% of pellets hit deal 100% damage.
N.B: The in-game detailed description incorrectly says Penumbra mode deals 450 damage while Antumbra mode deals 500 damage. In actual game, both forms deal 450 damage.

Description

Call forth a Rift into the Abyss which Blinds enemies in its range. After a delay, a beam fires upwards dealing 666 damage every 0.15s. Applies Ominous Brand.

Channel for 0.5s, becoming CC Immune and reducing your Movement Speed by 50%, before placing a 30 unit Blinding Abyssal Rift at the target location. After 1.5s the Blind dissipates, and the Rift fires a beam upwards dealing 666 damage every 0.15s for 6s. Applies Ominous Brand.

Lore

  • Shown in Fall of Ascension Peak, Omen's power is far stronger than Jenos', as Omen can summon other types of Magic, proven by his abilities outside of cosmic ones.
    • Even when having so much powerful attacks, he is susceptible to knockbacks and being pushed around, as even when Buck's shotgun and other types of bullets did not harm him, he got pushed around when Jenos was being saved.
    • Omen will be back with an army of Abyss beings given by Nyx to pursue Jenos for the sake of her amusement, while Omen wants to exact revenge on him for not having his calls answered when he needed it.

  • Omen has many animations pulled from Jenos, including a part of the unused mastery emote that would go to make Omen's default emote.
  • Omen's card art seem to be abyssal versions of Jenos' card art.
  • Omen is the first Champion since Maeve, whose release was in early 2017, who did not receive an Ability Breakdown/Reveal or How To Play video. All the other Champions without such a video are: Buck, Cassie, Grohk, Ruckus, Makoa, Torvald.
