PLAY ➞ TRAINING

Shooting Range is one of the playable maps and also a Training mode in Paladins and was released in the Paladins CB29 update.

Description[]

This map is exclusive to Training mode, allowing players to test out the various champions, cards, and talents in a safe environment; this includes champions and talents that haven't been unlocked yet. Various bots are present around the map for testing different scenarios, and ultimate charge is automatically filled upon exiting one of the many rooms on this map, though a constantly respawning power-up that provides a full ultimate charge is also available. Third person mode can additionally be toggled from the Esc menu.

The map consists of a central square area with vertical levels with four rooms around it.

The first room contains a static line-up of a Fernando, Ying, and Viktor that can be used to test damage on targets with different health pools.

The second room contains 2 patrolling Pips that can be used to test weapons and skills on a moving target. If either Pip is knocked off their preset path, they'll walk back to where they would normally be meant to go.

The third room is a long corridor with 5 Viktors placed at different distances that can be used to test the firing range of weapons and abilities. Furthermore, a constantly respawning Power-Up that provides 100% Ultimate Charge when picked up is also present at the entrance.

The fourth room contains 2 auto-firing Cassies, which can be toggled by walking onto a Capture Point like ring. One of the Cassies fires at an always present friendly Fernando, while the other shoots into a wall, allowing for players to test various types of healing, shielding, and damage mitigation skills on themselves and allies.

In addition, targets can be activated on the upper level for aim training. These targets come in different variations and can be changed by leaving and re-entering the capture point like ring. These variants include:

  • Targets that remain motionless, but only one is present, with a new one appearing elsewhere after the previous target is destroyed.
  • Targets that move horizontally at varying speeds and distances.
  • Targets that move vertically at varying speeds and distances.
  • Targets that move in every direction at varying speeds and distances.

Lore[]

Due to the similar appearance to the various Temple Isle maps, it's assumed this map is located within the Temple Isles. The various map mechanics and bots are assumed to be non-canon though.
